Meself and Concepta went to visit Bernie in London although it was actually a place called Bishop's Stortford nowhere near London but it was borin' so we'll ignore there and concentrate on London. We got a Ryanair flight to Stansted which is also nowhere near London!
There was a lovely place called The Kings Hotel in Bayswater right beside Hyde Park although not that we went into it, the park, not the hotel. The hotel was just around the corner from a tube station so that was handy enough for gettin’ around and there was a Tesco Local just down the road so that’s always good. The hotel itself was lovely. There was a gym and a sauna although I saw neither. Concepta says the sauna is nice, although I won’t say why, the dirty bitch. Not that we stayed in the hotel, we just went in for while to use the facilities.
There’s obviously loads of restaurants to eat in around London whether it’s your fast food like McDonalds or KFC or buffits or something real expensive. Ya can’t pass a good English breakfast of a mornin’ although by the time we got out of bed most mornin’s we did coz we’d been locked the night before. Chinatown is nice for a lovely Chinese buffit or ya could always try a proper Indian curry although ya’ll be shitin’ like Sonia O' Sullivan for days afterwards.
Again, London’s got loads of places for drinkin’. We found it a good idea to go to Weatherspoon’s for the cheap drink before headin’ elsewhere. There’s some real posh places in the West End like Cafe De Paris, China White and Funky Budha. That’s where all the posh Londoners and posers go so we didn’t. Fabric is this ENORMOUS club and we loved it, mainly coz the fellas were all rides.
Ya could spend ages in London and not get bored. If you’re into kinda history and stuff there’s the British Museum, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and The Natural History Museum. Concepta loved Camden Market as well. Actually so did I. I picked up a few nice bits there. If you’re into shoppin’ then you’ll love Oxford Street. They have all the big names and the shops are huge. Bond Street is where all the designer shops are but if ya get something in Penney's I have no problem sowin’ ya on a Prada tag. Harrods is real posh too.
The underground is great fun but it’s huge. Study that map before ya attempt to go anywhere or else ya could end up in France.
