Me and me dietician Aliy flew to Larnaca with Budget Travel and from there got a transfer to Ayia Napa. On a coach clearly. Ya can also click on the link to get more info on holidays to Ayia Napa.
We stayed in the Nissi Beach complex in Ayia Napa and Aliy was quite well of it coz it was full board. She obviously made the most of it. The hotel is right on the beach although ya’d have to get a taxi to the centre of Ayia Napa or there’s a bus but I wasn’t well of that in the heat. There’s 2 pools, one of them indoors. There’s 4 beach bars which I thought was a great idea. If ya get bored there’s tennis, mini-golf, a gym and a beauty salon. Aliy is like Tiger Woods on the mini golf.
Well bein’ full board was handy coz it meant we never had to leave the hotel for food and I was quite well of that to be honest. We did meet a few friends of ours one of the days though and went to a place called Arkadia that sold all the Cyprus food and I liked it to be honest. There’s none of this rabbit shite like Malta or mad Arabic like in Yemen so I was grand. Bit of chicken and a few dips and you’re sorted. There’s loads of places ya can get Irish and English food around though as well so ya’ll be grand if you’re fussy. Aliy isn’t.
Ayia Napa is the home of garage music and I just kept goin’ around lookin’ for someone from the So Solid Crew and goin’ “Ayia Napa, Ayia Napa, Ayia Napa” like in the song. The square in Ayia Napa is where the main places are. Ya’ll find Bedrock, the Castle Club and Ice, all of them I was extremely well of and extremely locked in. Toga Toga and Moulin Rouge are the 2 big strip places in Napa and the fellas do all be mad to go in there to see the youngones which I clearly wasn’t into. Me and Aliy were well of the drink in the Nissi, it bein’ full board and all.
Other than go mad and get locked, there’s a bit to do in Napa. There’s the watersports and they’re right at the Nissi Beach so ya just have to walk out of the hotel. Aliy was well of paraglidin’. We rented out mopeds one of the days and drove to Paralimni and Protarus which is just down the road. There’s a great waterpark in Napa and we went twice it was that good. It’s all done out like the Greek gods and Aliy thought she was only the image of Aphrodite. We were goin’ to go see the ghost town in Famagusta but were too hungover.
Don’t pretend you’re in the So Solid Crew to get into a club, especially if they own it.
